Epic messaging – Adult protocol, influenza smartset, and more

Hey all!

This has been a busy week for the ASAP team with so much goodness that we needed a second info dump!

1) Adult Protocol Dispo – We have added a new Adult Protocol disposition button. It will trigger the same options as ‘Transferred to Another Facility’ (Emtala, etc). But this will help our nursing colleagues in the background.

2) Influenza SmartSet – better late than never!

Remember SmartSets pre-click a number of required discharge info including suggesting ICD10, putting in followup info, and picking instructions. This one is also mapped to switch to Spanish instructions if that is patient’s primary language.

It also suggests Tamiflu prescriptions based on age and/or wts. There have been some Tamiflu presciption errors so this should help!
