Good morning everyone!
We had an uneventful downtime on Wednesday and we are now able to move updates into production so the messaging email is a little late this week but good stuff to announce!
This is a long one because we had a backlog of things that needed to wait to be pushed over! Please read to the bottom for all the nifty improvements.
—————————————-
1) EDMDM___ smartphrases:
We have uploaded a large amount of departmental smartphrases to put in the MDM section of the note. These are based on our pathways and will have some guiding text. Please familiarize yourself with them, utilize them, and teach the trainees about them!
Just a quick example. This is the EDMDMASTHMA smartphrase which has built into it some smartlist dropdowns to push good documentation! You might even see that there are smartlists within smartlists!
Kudos to Dr. Creedon for working on these!

2. Upgrades to Home Meds
Post-ugrade, the Home Meds tab is gone BUT there is a toggle to see the home meds within the All Orders tab
-
Head toAll Orders
-
Notice the toggle for showing home meds
-
Turn it on !
-
Once toggled on, you can see home meds and utilize this to help ordering
-
You can also see the status of the med list (see complete here) before you order the meds which is great! And can hover and to see by whom.
——————————————-
3) New Med History Column – we have added a med history column to the Admit, Obs, and BH tabs which will show you the status of the med history! Check out the cool icons!
This will help us know if the time is right to order home meds in a safe manner.
While the column exists on those three tabs now, you can wrench it into any tab you want to! Have at it!

4) New Behavioral Health Attestation (for attendings) – when you attest to the daily progress note for our BH patients, you will see a more robust smartphrase.
First off, you will notice this new section in the middle which says to insert something. Please add something in your own words here to help assure compliance we have been involved. It could be simple or complex but put in something!
Also, we have also made a smartlist at the bottom to help put in dispo!

5) Wheelchair prescriptions – rare I know but there is info that is needed!
We have defaulted it in should you use the script from our departmental prescription folder! Wheelchair is now in the DME section!
Remember a height is needed!

6) Magic Buttons – at the bottom of our weblinks are 4 ‘magic buttons’ which will, if you are in a patient’s chart, will bring you into the EPIC iteration of those institutions – Atrius, the BI, MGB, and South Shore. You will be in that actual chart so you can see everything – even images!!! Utilize them if Care Everywhere doesn’t get you everything you need.
Kudos to Dr. Marchese for pointing these out!

7) Behavioral Health Progress notes and billing deficiencies (for attendings) – These should now hit your inbasket to remind us to do them!

Thanks for sticking around to the bottom!
But these are all solid improvements!
Your ASAP team,
AJC, JKC, and MBH
