Hello all!
A few treats and a trick in this week’s Mosaic Messaging!
—————————————-
1) Sedation Instructions – Will be automatically added to the After Visit Summary (that is, discharge papers) when a sedation is performed and the RN documents on the Sedation Narrator (which always happens). This will help us with Joint Commission compliance.
As they will now be automatically added, we will retire the Sedation Smartset from the dispo tab.

2) Critical Care Billing – a few comments
    a) Please bill critical care in the procdoc in real time.
    b) There is a chance that Attending A did Critical Care, stabilized the patient, and then signed them out to Attending B- attending A should drop the Crit care bill. Attending         B should not do an LOS (nor should a deficiency be in the inbox). Remember, Crit Care is a bill!
    c) There is a chance that Attending B has to provide Critical Care in a subsequent decompensation AFTER Attending A did Crit Care and dropped a bill. Attending B
should also drop a Crit Care bill for those minutes. There is now a question on the Crit Care procdoc where the second attending can say YES, this is a subsequent         stabilization.
Hopefully this makes some sense. And hopefully the verbiage of the question clarifies if my explanation didn’t. I know this is a rare event.

3) Preference list – when searching for orders, the system will default to the ED preference list, the orders we use most. If you do not find what you need, you can switch to the facility list which is all orders.
Please try to use the preference list when there is a choice as we have built those orders with guardrails, specifically around prescriptions!

4) ABridge – is live and seems to have been embraced by our crew. Please see attached tip sheet to review some info. Today I’ll highlight one of the tips on that sheet.
  1. To customize your note settings – which determines how Abridge will create your note sections – click on the ellipsis on the right in any Abridge generated section.  A magnifying glass over a screenshot of a computer

This will launch a new window with your selected default settings. On this page select the gear icon

It is here that you can adjust the style and format of the Abridge generated sections
    1. To create your own custom physical exam template:

      1. After selecting the gear icon as noted above, scroll down to the physical exam section
and select add a custom template
      2. Now simply fill in the data in each of the sections (avoid abbreviations) OR select the upload option and Abridge will format it for you if you copy and paste your fully formatted dot phrase physical exam into the provided field.

      1. Now don’t forget to select the save changes button and then make this your default template and select the expanded format.

In the next couple of weeks, you’ll here about some new SmartSets, some changes to some order panels and other goodies.
Thanks for your hard work!
Your Mosaic Team,
AJC, JKC, and MBH
